Roser Disaster-Relief Team: Hurricane Ian 2022

Wednesday Oct. 5th, Roser volunteers will travel roundtrip to Englewood, FL to assist residents effected by Hurricane Ian. We will work as part of Samaritan’s Purse’s disaster relief operations. This organization is well-practiced in training, equipping, and leading volunteers in relief efforts, as well as identifying urgent and workable needs. Our work may consist of mudouts, roof tarping, debris cleanup, and/or chainsaw work. Most importantly, SP volunteers share the love of Christ which brings hope and healing to troubled situations. Even if you can’t pull a crowbar without pinching a finger, you can care for a homeowner.

For more information on the relief effort, visit: sign up as part of the Roser team or ask questions, contact Matt Meehan at 970-390-7003. We will carpool from the Sanctuary parking lot at 5:30 AM to arrive in Englewood before 7:30 orientation.

If you can’t make it Wednesday, I plan to coordinate day trips as often as Roser volunteers are willing.

Matt Meehan is Roser’s Financial Administrator. He is also a Stephen Minister and often follows the call to volunteer for Hands On Missions, especially Samaritan’s Purse disaster-relief missions.
