We have all been there. Something gets in our way, and a voice from our phone tells us that we must recalculate our directions. The storms of last year have forced many of us to recalculate. Thankfully God is already redirecting us. The story of the early church demonstrates this powerful truth, that God uses obstacles to move us in new directions.
Week 1: A New Perspective, Acts 11:19-21, February 16, 2025
Trouble at home forces the church into new territory, where a whole new people will be exposed to God’s message. Obstacles have a way of pushing us into new communities where God desires to be known.
Week 2: A New Challenge, Acts 12:1-5, February 23, 2025
Obstacles have a way of clarifying our intentions. Where are we trying to go, and why are we trying to get there? These hard questions can expose fundamental disagreements. How we handle those disagreements will test the integrity of our faith.

Moving in new directions teaches us new truths. The old truths are still important. They establish foundations. However, we must build beyond the foundation, and this requires a new revelation from God.
