This year we are partnering with Operation Christmas Child to pack shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items for children around the world. For many of these children, this shoebox will be the first gift they have ever received. We will have a packing party after both services on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8, where we will pack collected items. We are looking for donations of items to help fill these boxes, monetary gifts to cover the shipping cost, and volunteers to help setup for the packing party, help during the party and with teardown. DONATE
We need new, small items that can fit into a standard shoebox. Great options include quality toys (like a soccer ball with a pump or a doll), school supplies (crayons, notebooks, pencils), and non-liquid hygiene items (toothbrushes, washcloths, combs). Please bring any donations to Roser Church.
Items we cannot accept due to customs regulations: Candy, toothpaste, gum, used or damaged items, war-related items (like toy guns or military figures), liquids, lotions, vitamins, or breakable glass.
You might want to consider purchasing items in bulk for a discounted price, so we can fill as many boxes as possible! Amazon has Samaritan’s Purse Approved Items. Click on this link to see those items, and they will be shipped directly to Roser Church.
Cash or check donations are incredibly helpful. You can also donate directly on our website under the Operation Christmas Child selection–click the button below. Each box costs $10 to ship and deliver. See below if you would like to track your shoebox.
HELP PACK
Come to our packing party, November 8 after the 8:30 or 10:00 AM Worship Service in the Fellowship Hall! Each box costs $10 to ship and deliver and will have a tracking option. The tracking code is on a sticker that goes on the box–bring your phone to the Packing Party, scan the code, fill in your payment and contact information so you will be able to track your shoebox!
