Part-Time Sunday School Teacher
Position Description: The part-time Sunday School Teacher will provide supervision and consistent biblical instruction to youth ages 5-12. Position responsibilities are outlined below. The position is supervised by the Roser Memorial Church Council.
Job Responsibilities:
- Follow and execute the Roser Memorial Church elementary Sunday School curriculum as outlined by the Board of Religious Education (BREd)
- Work in tandem with Sunday School volunteers to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for learning and spiritual growth
- Manage child check in at the Welcome desk in the Narthex from 9:30-10:00am
- Communicate need for additional snacks and/or classroom materials to BREd Co-Chairs
- Be regular in attendance
- Notify the proper person well in advance of anticipated absences
Position Skills & Qualifications:
- Background in volunteering and/or working with children
- Comfortable and willing to share the message of God’s love and Jesus
- Ability to work with volunteers in the Sunday School setting
- Basic computer skills to run our web-based curriculum
- Successful completion of a background check
Hours: 3 hours / week (Sunday (9:30-11:30) +60 min flex/prep time
Salary: $25+/hour; Based on Experience
