YOUTH FOR CHRIST – SUNCOAST is looking for mentors and volunteers for their new Parent Life program. It is lonely being a single parent. The world offers many things to fill the void. We (the church) need to be bigger than the worldly sin and surround these parents with love.
VOLUNTEERS – at least 3 are needed to start the Sarasota program and 2 more for Manatee.  The time commitment is 2-3 hours a week. MENTORS- to provide each young mom or dad someone to connect with one on one –  via text, phone calls, coffee meetings.  This is a 1-2 hours a week commitment.
Dawn Corona, their new Parent Life Director, recently moved to Bradenton from Michigan, where she was Parent Life Director for the West Michigan chapter.  She is deeply passionate about reaching teens – both moms and dads – who are struggling with the challenges of parenthood when they are still children themselves. If you would like more information or to get involved, please contact Dawn at dawn@suncoastyfc.org or 616-293-1493. Click HERE to read her story.

CROP HUNGER WALK ♦ Thanks to everyone that walked or donated! $6,300 was raised and 16 walkers who participated! Check back for the date of next year’s event at Palmetto First United Methodist. Please join us in fun and fellowship to help our sisters and brothers in need both here in Manatee County and around the world—25% of your donation goes to Our Daily Bread and Turning Point. We will carpool from the church at 1:00 PM.  The CROP Walk starts at the Palmetto First United Methodist Church. Walkers cross the Green Bridge into downtown Bradenton and return to the church. To walk and/or donate contact Ginger or the office. Make checks payable to CWS/CROP or Roser Church with Crop Walk on the memo line. CROP stands for Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty. CROP Hunger Walks help to provide food and water, as well as resources that empower people to meet their own needs. From seeds and tools, to wells and water systems, the key is people working together to identify their own development priorities, their strengths and their needs – something CWS has learned through 70 years of working in partnership around the world. Turning Points and Our Daily Bread are local agencies that receive support. The local CROP Walk is usually held in February. Join the Roser Missions Facebook Group and stay in the know!
