The MISSION BOARD usually meets on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 11:00 AM in the Classroom D with a summer break from May through August. TUE SEP 23 TURNING POINTS is having a special Night of Impact – a special night for Faith Organizations. Everyone is invited. FROM 5:00–7:00 PM (arrive anytime between 5pm-6:15pm) at 701 17th Ave W, Bradenton. Join us for A NIGHT OF IMPACT at Turning Points and see how we bring hope to thousands of neighbors in need each year through housing assistance, community resource navigation, medical and dental services. Meet team members from each department, hear from our Executive Director, take a guided tour of our programs & facilities and enjoy refreshments & real stories of impact.
HAND UP TO VICTORY is a 501c3 that has helped hundreds of people coming out of jail, rehabs, or off the streets to get into a halfway house and they assist with rent, food, clothing, and hygiene products. They then provide a list of jobs in the area that are hiring and are willing to work with convicted felons. With many of them continuing to attend High on Jesus, other recovery groups, and keeping God first, many lives have improved, families have been restored, and people have gone on to live a blessed amazing life. SAMARITAN’S PURSE RELIEF TRIPS – This is hurricane season and now is the time to get your name on Matt’s list of volunteers interested in future Disaster Relief Missions. Each mission is different. They may be day trips or a few days. There is something for everyone to do–no skills necessary. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age or older. Youth, ages 14-15, must be accompanied by their parent/legal guardian and youth, ages 16-17, must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. PACK HOPE SEEDS every Tuesday from 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM at the Hope Lutheran Church 4635 26th St W Bradenton. Hope Seeds is a Christian charitable organization that provides seeds and agricultural support to missionaries and mission teams around the World. This mission empowers the hungry to grow nutritious food which helps heal broken families and communities. By supporting this mission with your donations you have the opportunity to not only share seed for gardens but also share seed for the Gospel. The seed is packaged in small zip-lock packets of ten varieties and species chosen for the climate and culture of the nation they are being sent to free of charge. Plant A Seed! Feed A Soul! THE MISSIONS TENT will not be set up during the summer. It will return when the Anna Maria Farmers Market starts up again. The tent up is set in the Thrift Shop parking lot between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Everyone is invited to stop by for information and to make donations!
