By reflecting on a few key passages in scripture, we learn that the Bible is God’s Story with the Power to Shape Our Story. These sermons were delivered during the spring of 2021. Sermon Notes and Discussion Questions are provided for each session.
Week 1: God’s Story – Beginnings (Deuteronomy 6:1-6)
A flood of information engulfs us, so how do we sort through it all? God’s Story, told in the scriptures, gives a framework, a worldview that will guide us through this flood.
Week 2: God’s Story – Fulfillment (Hebrews 1:1-4)
Jesus does not randomly appear in human history. His coming is planned for centuries. He comes at just the right time to reveal a new direction and a new end in the unfolding plan of God. His story is unique, and it has the potential to change everyone’s story.
Week 3: God’s Story and Our Story (2 Timothy 3:10-17)
God’s story is more than simple human history. It is a divinely breathed story that creates a new world and new children of God. The Spirit in this story breathes new life into our story.
